Description
This shield is a Kit for easily controlling RGB LED Matrix using a WeMos Mini 32 ESP32 board. This board takes advantages of the cables that come included with most displays. It’s designed to work with the fantastic PX Matrix Arduino library by user 2dom.
The RGB LED matrix panels are one of the coolest displays you can use with an Arduino-compatible microcontroler, but doing so requires quite a bit of wiring as well as an awkward connection to a power source. These panels are inexpensive and typically named P6, P10, etc.
The Mini 32 Matrix Shield makes wiring the panels really simple! The board just slots directly onto the input header pin, uses the ribbon cable that comes provided with most of these panels to connect the pins of the output header and has screw terminals to connect the power cable that comes with most panels.
Please note that this ships as a kit, so you’ll need a soldering iron to put it together. Also, whereas the connections are simple, please look at the instructions as most end up with at least one connector on the wrong side of the board!
Features:
- Easily connect your P6, P10, or any other P-series RGB LED panel matrix to an ESP32
- Separate power ports for both the LED matrix and the ESP32
- Made in Ireland by Brian Lough (pronounced “lock”)
