ACROBOTIC ESP8285/PSF-A85 ESP8266 Serial to Wi-Fi Module (1MB Flash)

Regular price $5.95

The ESP8285 is the latest Serial-to-WiFi adapter created by Espressif. Following its incredibly popular predecessor (the tiny ESP8266), the ESP8285 is released with added functionality, and most importantly, including built-in Flash Memory (1MB) aiming at minimizing the footprint and the necessity of peripheral components (e.g., SPI flash memory ICs) such as those inside the ESP-12E modules.

The tiny-sized ESP8285 System On a Chip (SoC) includes a powerful microcontroller with a full WiFi front-end (both as client and access point) as well as a full TCP/IP stack with DNS.

The PSF-A85 module in this listing makes it easy to work with the incredibly tiny ESP8285 SoC, giving access to all of the chip's pins via easy-to-solder castellated connections. The PSF-A85 module breaks out all the usable GPIO of the ESP8285, and it carries 1MB of built-in flash storage as well as a few necessary components for the onboard ESP8285 to operate properly. It also includes an onboard antenna as well as IPEX and stamp connectors for external ones.

Features:

  • 17 GPIO (save for D0, every GPIO can be PWM, I2C (software), 1-wire)
  • Wi-Fi module containing the ESP8285 IC
