Description
These displays are small, only 1.44 inches diagonal, and offer a great way to add a small, colorful and bright screen to any project. Using a 4-wire SPI to communicate with its own pixel-addressable frame buffer, it can be used with every kind of microcontroller—even low-memory ones with few pins available!
The 1.44″ display has 128×128 color pixels. Unlike the low cost “Nokia 5110” and similar CSTN-type LCDs that have poor color and slow refresh rates, this display is a true TFT! The TFT driver (ST7735) can display full 16-bit color using widely available libraries for Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
This display can be controlled over SPI and its design is completely 5V-ready, with an onboard regulator and 3/5V level-shifter. It’s easier than ever to connect directly to your 3.3V or 5V microcontroller or single board computer!
