This listing includes 4x Female/Male pairs of DC power barrel jacks to screw terminal adapters. They are specially useful for connecting wires to power supplies as is often required in our DIY electronics projects. Without them, we usually cut the connector from the supply or battery to tie the stripped wires together with those going into our project. These adapters allow for a more robust and convenient solution. On one end, we find two screw terminals spaced 5 mm apart and labeled positive and negative. On the other, it has a 2.1mm, center-positive connector that plugs into most “standard”, wall wart-style power supplies.

So, if you need to connect a battery pack or wired power supply to a board that has a DC (barrel) jack, this adapter will come in very handy! These connector adapts a 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC barrel jack to a pair of screw terminals spaced 5 mm (0.2″) apart. The terminals are labeled positive and negative, with the positive terminal connected to the center pin—this so-called positive-tip configuration is the most common.
