Description
The board in this listing is a perfect clone of the fantastic ATmega32u4 Arduino Leonardo. It is a small form-factor replica, so it has the same functionality with a reduced pinout on a smaller footprint. It is able to run the same code, be programmed in the same way. Simply select “Arduino Leonardo” in the Arduino IDE (Tools > Board > Arduino Leonardo), and it’s ready to go—the ATmega32u4 onboard comes with a bootloader that allows you to upload your code right out-of-the-box.
The ATmega32u4 microcontroller has an USB interface without the need for a Serial UART-to-USB adapter. This allows for this board to be smaller than its ATmega328 counterparts. A fantastic feature of this board is that it plugs right into the USB port of your computer, without the need of a cable, so it’s ready to program and run your code without the need of additional components or accessories.
The PRO Micro Beetle has the same functionality of the Arduino Leonardo, but in a different package. Wheareas it’s the smallest Arduino Leonardo clone available, it delivers everything we would expect from a microcontroller development board without compromising functionality.
