Description
This cute, little display is a perfect addition for your Raspberry Pi. It features a 2.2″ display with a resolution of 320×240 up to 18-bit (262K) color pixels. As many other Hardware Attached on Top (HAT) expansion boards for the Raspberry Pi, this one interfaces using the high-speed SPI interface. Simply plug it into the Raspberry Pi’s 40-pin header, and you can use the mini display as a console, X-window port, to display images and video.
This HAT is designed to plug directly onto the Raspberry Pi 2, Pi 3, Pi Zero or Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+ or B+ using the included 40-pin header (soldering required). Keep in mind that it uses the hardware SPI pins (SCK, MOSI, MISO, CE0, CE1) as well as GPIO #25,
In addition, we’ve added four (4) push buttons that can be read from pins #22, #23, #24, and #5. Given that this is not a Touch Screen, the buttons allow us to interact with the Raspberry Pi without the need to connect any peripheral devices (e.g., keyboard, mouse). We can use the buttons for making a basic user interface, having an on/off button, etc.
