The WeMos family of boards is one of the latest additions to the ESP8266-based Internet Of Things (IoT) ecosystem. The WeMos D1 Mini Development Board includes the ESP8266 SoC, USB-to-Serial (CH340G) IC, and all the necessary passive components, comes ready for plugging into your computer’s USB port and loading up custom firmware.
This kit includes 4 expansion boards (shields) that carry the most popular electronic components used by Makers in their projects. The simple plug-n-play interface allows you to connect them to the ESP8266 onboard the WeMos D1 Mini without any tedious wiring.
Similar to other ESP8266 development boards, the WeMos D1 Mini family offers an inexpensive solution for making internet-connected devices. Moreover, its small footprint and accompanying wide range of shields make it an ideal solution for quickly prototyping IoT projects in a compact amount of space.

Please note that some soldering is required for all the different boards in this kit!
Different users have different applications for the WeMos shields, thus we’ve found that the easiest way to please everyone is to ship the boards with the headers unsoldered. Each board in this kit includes a pair of Male, Female, Long Female pin headers for you to choose!
