WeMos ESP8266 D1 Development Board IoT Compatible

  • Footprint makes it compatible with most Arduino Shields
  • ESP8266 ESP-12F development board ready for use with Arduino, NodeMCU, AT+Commands (Plug and Play)
  • 11 Digital, 1 Analog GPIO; PWM, ADC, I2C and 1-Wire available
  • Two diode-protected power inputs (one for a USB cable, another for a battery)

The WeMos D1 Development Board, which includes the ESP8266 SoC, USB-to-Serial (CH340G) IC, and all the necessary passive components, comes ready for plugging into your computer’s USB port and loading up custom firmware.

The WeMos D1 has the same form factor than the Arduino Uno, so it’s compatible with most shields available. However, given that the chip onboard is the ESP8266 instead of the ATmega328p, there are some differences to keep in mind. The most important are:

  • The WeMos D1 operates at 3.3V instead of 5V like the Arduino Uno
  • The WeMos D1 only has 1 Analog Input instead of the 6 on the Arduino Uno

Similar to other ESP8266 development boards such as our DevKit, D1 Mini V2, and D1 Mini Pro, the WeMos D1 in this listing offers an inexpensive solution for making internet-connected devices. Moreover, its small footprint and accompanying wide range of shields make it an ideal solution for quickly prototyping IoT projects in a compact amount of space.

Overall, The WeMos family of boards is a great addition to the ESP8266-based Internet Of Things (IoT) ecosystem.
