The WeMos D1 Mini family of boards is one of the latest additions to the ESP8266-based IoT ecosystem. The WeMos D1 Mini WS2812B RGB LED Shield includes a colorful LED that can add some ‘pizazz’ to your electronics projects.
The WeMos D1 Mini WS2812B RGB LED Shield is designed so that pin D2 on the WeMos D1 Mini V2 board is connected to the WS2812B RGB LED. This means that you’ll need to configure your software to use D2 for controlling the color of the LED. There are plenty of existing examples to work with the WS2812B including the NeoPixel and FastLED libraries for Arduino. This tiny (5mm×5mm) LED can serve as a status indicator for your WeMos ESP8266 D1 Mini-powered projects.

Each board in this kit includes a pair of Male, Female, Long Female pin headers for you to choose. Soldering is required for installing the header pins!
