The WeMos D1 Mini family of boards is one of the latest additions to the ESP8266-based IoT ecosystem. The WeMos D1 Mini 2×1 Dual Base Board Shield allows you to connect shields to the WeMos D1 Mini without having to stack them on top of it. You can also connect twice as many shields for those super complex projects!
The WeMos D1 Mini 2×1 Dual Base Board Shield is designed to allow you to add different boards of the WeMos family side-by-side instead of on top of one another. This is especially useful when you have multiple shields that are not suited for stacking together such as an OLED shield with sensor/relay shields, or where a lower profile is preferred. In addition, the design includes six mounting holes for securing it in place, something lacking on the actual WeMos D1 Mini boards and shields.
